Top Prospects

ISSAC McNEIL, Sr. 6'3 266 OT  *****5 stars

This is an impressive individual. Issac will be a team Captian for the Wildcats next season. The 6'3 265 pound lineman will be counted on to anchor the line of scrimmage for Hamilton. A natural leader, McNeil is currently being recruited by Miss. Valley State Univ., The Univ. of Memphis, Middle Tenn. State Univ. and The Univ. of Tenn. Coach Thurston Rubin said "Issac is the best player on the team, he's a 5 star lineman and has already been offered by some good schools". When speaking to McNeil you can hear the maturity in his conversation, "I expect us to turn around the program this season, we have good players and all we need to do is work harder and don't let up". McNeil has several camps to attend this summer, including camps at the Univ. of Memphis and Southern Miss. Look for McNeil's offers to increase as we get the word out about this outstanding young prospect. McNeil says "I can play left or right tackle equally good". It's obvious Issac has a great attitude. He will be heavily recruited by the end of next season. McNeil has major college D-1 talent.

LONNIE BALLENTINE, So. 6'2 185 CB/WR/ATH *****5 stars

Lonnie Ballentine is one cool dude. He's good and he knows it. When asked what his goals for next season, Ballentine said "to help this team step up and win", "personally I'd like 40 catches, and 10 interceptions". Understand this....Ballentine was selected by Rivals and Scout.com as "The Combine King" from among 400 Freshman and Sophomores at a recent camp held in Memphis. He will be attending a prestigous camp in Atlanta for the top 100 returning players in the country for sophomores. He was funny and engaging when we interviewed him. But let's get to the numbers. Lonnie stands 6'2 185 and runs a legit 4.4 in the forty. Coach Thurston Rubin gushes when he talks about Lonnie. "This kid is the REAL DEAL, he has a chance to be one of the greatest football players ever from Hamilton". Only a sophomore for next season, Lonnie has been clocked at 21.9 sec. for 200 yards in track and feild. He also plays basketball. Coach Rubin says Ballentine has "Mad Skills", with freakish strength and athletic ability. The University of North Carolina has already expressed interest after seeing Lonnie work out. Ballentine has a great attitude for a young player who is already being compared to some of the best to come from this part of the country. No doubt scouts will be out in force to see the upcoming season as we get his informatuion and numbers out to recruiting services. Coach Rubin says "the sky is the limit with this young man".

ALEX COLEMAN Sr. 6'2 246 TE/DT

It's rear to hear a high school TE say "I want to learn how to block better". But that's the kind of attitude Coleman has. "I want to be the best that I can be", says Coleman who Coach Rubin called another player that we are counting on. Coleman has good athletic skills for a big man his size. Look for Coleman to also be a force on defense along the front four. Coleman says "Learn to keep going and take care of business". "I know we will be better next season because we are determined to get better".

ERWIN STOKES, Sr. 5'9 245 FB/DT

Erwin Stokes says "You gotta love the grind" and "you gotta work". Strong words from a strong man. Stokes plays Fullback and Defensive Tackle for Hamilton. His work is in the trenches so you might miss how effective he really is if you looking for a stat stuffer. "I will be successful because of my work ethic", say Stokes. "You just gotta keep on keeping on". Look for Stokes to be a critical component to the success of the team next season.

JESTIN NEAL, Sr. CB/KR/PR/ATH 5'8 165

Jestin Neal has the confidence you expect in a cover corner. The 5'8 165 pound senior is a 4 year letterman. Jestin says his best attributes are "agressiveness, speed, man to man cover skills, and versatility". He also made sure we knew he ran a 4.39 forty. Coach Rubin says "he's legit 4.4". Neal will be used to also return kicks and punts. Says Jestin "I'm a real hard player, and a real hard worker", "I like showing what I can do". Jestin says, "My goal is to get at least 6 interceptions this coming season".  He is receiving interest from Miss. Valley State Univ., Louisiana Tech, and Bethel College.
